Going off of listed heights on the roster we have an average height of 77.5 inches. This would have tied us for 52nd in the country last year. I think this is even more impressive given that we don't have one 7+ footer skewing our results.
We have solid height across the board this year. 6'10, 6'9, 6'9, 6'8, 6'8, 6'7. Jon Smith is only our 6th tallest player this year which is crazy since he has been our post defense anchor the past couple seasons.
What will it mean? Better rebounding, better shot blocking, better team photo? Only time will tell I guess.

I certainly hope it leads to better rebounding, considering how much of a frustration that was the last few years. I think we all knew Christian would make a big effort to add some big bodies and he has done that. It certainly will be different than the last few years.

Is this including 6'8" Khari Harley, who the website announced just today joined the team?

Yes, it includes him. Between Harley and Setty the future of our 3 position is as tall as any in the country.

Setty is not, nor ever will be a 3. He doesn't have the necessary skills, particularly shooting the ball. He is, however, really pleasing the coaches with his physical presence and desire to work hard and do the little things, such as consistently boxing out and working the glass.

Always saw him as a 4 - and will be a real pleasure to see an increase of boxing out and working the glass - quite a lack of that last few years.

I like the idea of having a lot of big bodies to throw at guys like Treadwell and McRae. I'm really getting anxious about seeing this team on the floor. I'm sure they'll take a few lumps, but the future is looking bright.
