I've always found this countdown to be suspect but for what its worth here's the MAC teams that made their top 144 countdown for 2013-

#89 Toledo
#100 Western Michigan
#115 Kent State
#128 Akron

that's it. fwiw they had Ohio at #39 in 2012. Toledo AND WMU over all of the East? I'm not buying it.

WMU may be better than 10-6 this season.  They lost Darius Paul but have three double-figure scorers coming back (Whittington, Brown & Hutcheson).  They were third in defense but sixth in scoring so they need more production from their bench (Brown was their 6th man -- MAC 6th Man of the Year -- and will likely be a starter this season).  Three things they need to work on: defending the 3; steals; and turnovers (10th in the MAC in all three categories).

Maybe... but Western peaked in Jan-Feb instead of March and teams tend to fade under Hawkins.
