Overall a pretty good showing for the MAC.  Three convincing wins against DIII teams, which isn't necessarily impressive but it is a good sign that none of the three struggled.   Fiami (without Willie Moore) had a respectable showing against Notre Dame.  Buffalo led TA&M most of the first half before crumbling.  Tough loss for NIU who held the lead with under 15 seconds to go and then had a chance to tie the game but missed a free throw. Akron beat CC a lot worse than the final score showed.  But clearly the best win of the day belongs to Western who beat a very good New Mexico State team.
