That's fine.  The last time we finished 3rd in the MAC East we made the Sweet 16, so...

That's your opinion... Many others including me feel differently.

Eastern Michigan definitely could be a sleeper team this year.  They recruited well.

Of course it's my opinion, and of course many others feel that way. If everyone agreed with me, I wouldn't have said something contrary to popular opinion.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh...Elton.

"The preseason Mid-American Conference basketball poll reflects most of the national magazines. The defending MAC regular season co-champion Akron Zips are the favorite in the MAC East, where the Zips have dominated the last two seasons."

He just HAD to put that little nugget in there. For one, it's not true. For two, WHY? Everyone knows what Akron has done the past two seasons. Just stop.

Even more, how have they dominated if they were CO-CHAMPIONS during the last regular season?

Dozens, if not hundreds, of EMU fans do claim they do in fact have a basketball program.

They beat us three times. I thought our 14-2 regular season was impressive, but we all know that title comes with an asterisk.

Ohio has enough talent to automatically finish in the upper half of the MAC. JC knows how to coach defense to go with his talent so that places the program in the upper 1/4. If Ohio does finish #3 in the East its going to be because the top 2 teams in the conference are also playing in the East so still its a bye to the quarterfinals in Cleveland. Its all going to come down to how good this team is in the month of March like it does in most seasons.

I take back what I said about Buffalo.

They fell to Niagara 92-81 tonight and looked like the inferior team. McCrea was a beast like normal but they struggled to hit open shots and struggled mightily on defense.

Pair that with how Ohio has opened the season, I expect Ohio to be a better team than the Bulls.
