How is Akron ranked so high in this mid-major poll?  I can understand Toledo, Kent State, and maybe even EMU.  But Akron has done nothing while we have handled business against mostly quality teams and given tOSU one of their hardest games so far this year.

I once had a professor who gave a lot of discretionary points to some students because she thought they knew more than the score on their final exam showed.  Maybe some people think Akron is better than their 22-pt loss at St Mary's or their 7-pt loss at MTSU showed.  Maybe they're going by Akron's reputation.  Or maybe they heard that Akron beat UMass a couple Saturdays ago and didn't realize it was in football.

the season is young and there is no need to do anything but enjoy what has been and look forward to what is coming. We are not who we thought we were ....and we are not who they thought we were and akron is not anywhere near what anyone thought they would be....see how confusing this crap is.... mental masturbation....some guy sitting in front of a computer with no life and a captive audience.

Move on and enjoy fellow Bobcats....the RPI /SOS/Sagarins will tell you what you ned as the computer starts gathering data and regurgitating real numbers.

It does speak to the improvement of the conference as a whole this year that more than just Ohio/Akron are represented in the poll.

1/2 the conference is receiving votes.
