I am a really big fan of 1st year head coach Andy Bucheit. After watching him coach for several years at Marietta, he is a young guy with a lot of passion and knowledge of the game. Heidelberg is only the first stop for him I am sure on the way to bigger and better things down the road. However for the game at hand, Heidelberg is rebuilding this year and is expected to be a middle of the road OAC team. Ohio wins by as many as they want.

Expect chants of The Who's classic hit "Who Are You" from the O Zone.

I saw they have a kid from Alexander on the roster but it doesn't look like he gets much run.  He's their biggest listed player at 6'9".  If he was playing much I'd expect some support for him in the Convo from Albany.

Good idea, I like it.  At first I wondered how many in O Zone would know it, then remembered CSI theme song.

Definitely one of the worst nicknames I have ever heard of. "Student Prince"? WTF? Apparently its from a German operetta, sounds real intimidating. Thats worse than the OWU Battling Bishops or Wake Forest Deamon Deacons

the student princes will come to play. D3 or not they will give a good account of themselves. I have seen them many times over the last few years. They also have very loyal and loud fans. Expect a lot of them to show up tomorrow. Oh I know it is football but their team did make headlines last week and a lot of mention on espn.

I am sure they will be very disciplined - par for this type of team. My only real worry, outside of we can't hit the side of a barn with a shot, is if we let them get to the FT line too much (OUr fouls, and their conversions).

I'd suggest they drop off the football team next door but their running back gained 465 yards last week so that might not be a good idea for us.

We need to clean up our assist to turnover numbers. They were outstanding in the opener but have dropped since.

there used to be a time when you went to a d3 game you could count on good ft shooting unlike in d1 games. However that is not as true as it once was. Sometimes it is poor in d3 now also(although not as bad as d1).

Having went to and played at a D3 school, I don't really find any of those to be true. Then again, I am biased.

meh, they can play as hard as they want and bring as many fans as they want and Ohio will still win even if the sleepwalk through it.

Final score aside, something tells me our guys are going to have long practice sessions the next two days.

I'm sure JC will harp on the first 25 minutes or so to get ready for Mercer, but what kept Heidi in the game was 3-pt shooting.  They hit five of their first seven and had 21 of their first 35 points from outside the arc.  Once their 3-pters stopped dropping, the game was pretty much over.

I would agree. The guy probably wish the originally scheduled opponent has shown up. The Princes were smokin from 3 early and we mishandled a number of balls. Game over once the D showed up and closed out.

SOmeone who is a bit more astute help me out with the sentence beginning with ...."Having went to...."  I know my grammie is rolling in her grave but we are having an argument here as to how the proper and grammatically sentence should read.

"Having gone to" is correct. See this.
