This game is part of our pseudo-tournament and these two played an epic battle yesterday with Mercer winning 117-108 in 3OT.  Valpo led at the half 45-33 but Mercer outscored them by an identical 45-33 in the second half.  Jacob Gollon of Mercer, who didn't hit a FG against us (and I don't even remember sadly) led all scorers with 37 points.  Mercer has now played 5 OT periods this season.

That makes today's game against Evansville the last game of the "tournament" and essentially the championship game. Not including the game each team played against a DII or DIII team the standings are as follows:

Ohio 2-0
Evansville 2-0
Mercer 1-2
Valpo 0-3

I just saw this and was going to post about it as well.  Here's a link to the box score on ESPN.

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=400499074

Both teams show free throws extremely well.  Mercer was 35-41 (85%) and Valpo was 29-32 (91%).  Langston Hall went for 24 against us, but was help to 8 points (2-16 shooting) in 54 minutes for Mercer.

looks like Valpo just ran out of bodies. They played the final OT with only 2 non guards available because of fouls.

Update:

Ohio 3-0
Evansville 2-1
Mercer 1-2
Valpo 0-3

Quite an impressive run through the tournament giving us a good look into what we can expect from the Bobcats this year.  While none of the three are great teams they are all good teams and other than about a 4 minute stretch against Valpo we pretty much dominated.  Below are our biggest leads against the three.

Evansville +34
Mercer +20
Valpo +16

I'm loving this team's make up and versatility.
