Stevie or Bean MUST come thru at point.  Shooting in the 30s doesn't get it done.  We also need one more big to go with Smith and Ndour.  So, come on Campbell or Setty!

The team is better when Stevie is on the floor. Bean is worse defensively and more selfish on offense. I don't understand the PG rotation at all. JC must see something I'm just not seeing because I think he is forcing the minutes. It's almost like a pitcher getting pulled based on pitch count as opposed to when the flow of the game dictates a substitution.

I like Setty's upside. I like his passion, but think he needs to reign his emotions in a little. He almost got T'd up at OSU and at the UMass game. He is active around the rim, but needs to become a little more comfortable for his shots to start dropping from short range.

I agree.  I see him in a similar situation as DeVaughn Washington or KvK.  They aren't similar players but it took both of them some time to get to the point where they could stay on the court.   Treg has the energy and the desire and I think a lot more talent than some here are giving him credit for.  He's earned the majority of his fouls but I also think he has been both unlucky and screwed by the refs in some instances. 

As for Stevie, IMO, we are a much better team with him on the court right now.  He isn't hitting his shots but he runs the offense much better than Bean.   I think Christian really, really wants Bean to win the job but he just hasn't even with Stevie's struggles.

Stevie needs to get back to rim attack mode and lay off the 3s, if he can do that he and the team will be functioning much better.

What is the point here?

I'm waiting for "Player Assessments - Crabtree & Mompremier" - Is this merely the first in a series from the original poster or did he just get the urge to soil Setty and Stevie for no particular reason? Further, what are 71Bobcat's credentials for writing these "Assessments?"

Call out the Coaches or the collective team all you want, but there's no reason to go jumping on individuals like this.

I can see Christian and the staff sitting in their morning meeting prior to the Longwood game:

Christian: "Let's talk about our rotations for Longwood"

Fuss: "Same script I assume?"

Christian: "No - we are changing EVERYTHING. This guy 71Bobcat has figured it out. He's like the 2nd coming of James Naismith. Do we have any dollars in the budget to bring him on as a consultant? I need him writing Player Assessments after every game like Lawrence Frank. Anthony, you could stand to be more like Mr. 71. He's not impressed with Setty? Well then we'll put Setty's ass on the bench until the next Thanksgivikuah in 7,000 years. And Stevie , well I'm not sure what he's doing this year.

Count me in as this being a forum to discuss each player and what they bring to the table. There was a thread before the season on the point guard topic and the consensus was that Stevie should be the starter. Had my doubts then and nothing has changed. Problem is Bean hasn't done much to prove he deserves the spot as well. We essentially have 2 point guards who are playing more like back-ups. Feels like Stevie hasn't made a 3 point shot since OHIO State. He's lacking serious confidence and swag. Hope he finds it. Bean hasn't shown that he can dish and drive effectively. 

Good news....season isn't half-way over....plenty of time left. Just get the feeling that both guys are constantly looking over their shoulder waiting to get yanked out of the game at every whistle.

In context, I believe that was a game summary after Winthrop. Not a dedicated post to start ripping players.

Boy, I was right about Walt and Ivo. Kellogg and Smith have bounced back in a big way, and so has Stevie to an extent. Definitely wrong about regression being a pattern. Most of our guys have gotten better from last year to this year - definitely happy about that.
