Ohio 74
Akron 65

Attendance 8,800

Attendance could be higher but I worry about a Sunday evening game that is televised in Columbus. If it were a Saturday evening game the following week then I think 11,500+.

Sunday evening is an AWFUL time. But I understand wanting to get students back. It's a classic catch-22.

6:00 Sunday game TY vs 7:00 Sunday game LY a bit better for out of town travelers (me included). LY's game was late season highly anticipated, TY's game an early MAC big showdown. Move in day TY not ideal. Weather looks to be no issue at all.

11,009 LY

I predict 3,500 more than 'Kron gets in the JAR all year (9,200)

OHIO 67
'Kron 62

'kron prediction?  'kron is the definition of stank.

Oh. Sorry. That's not a prediction. It's a fact.

Last year's game was on a weekday (Wednesday?) IIRC. Definitely not a Sunday.

Yup last year Akron was a Wednesday.  Two years ago Akron was a Sunday night 8 PM ESPNU game.

Yup - losing my memory.

6:00 a LOT better than 8:00 - it's the 8:00 Sunday game that sucked for travelers. I remember I had a Very early day start the following Monday - w/about 4 hrs of sleep - and my son asleep in the passenger seat the whole way back.............

I really don't think for a tv game we can any control over the time at all.  The kids are back, the dorms opened this morning at 9 and as has been noted in cc's thread, they are itching to get home.  I can always tell when the majority of students are back without ever leaving home.  Pizza delivery times go from 30 minutes to "we should be there in an hour or so."   Such was the case last night and the pizza was good.

Quick look at the seats still available shows appx 4K open. Good student showing and walk-ups today and we could get 10K

I have always felt the Convo has a different feel when it gets 10k+ in it. As much as I would love to see us sellout every game, consistently pulling 10k for weekend games and big weekday games (kron last year) really takes the atmosphere up a notch.

8k in tickets but there were no more than 7 in the building. The top half was pretty bare, especially on the baselines.

I would say 7,500 butts in seats.

I believe I was very firm in my estimation of 7k, tops.
