In the first 35:23 of the game Ohio was 14-53 from the field (26.4%), including 8-26 from three (30.8%). Over the last 4:37 Ohio was 6-7 from the field (85.7%) and 2-2 from three. In the last 4:37 EMU was 1-3 from the field, 1-3 from line and had one turnover.

The fact that we had four more shots over them is the stat of the game IMO. When Christian dialed up pressure, we did what we had to do. Great job on defense.

This team reminds me a lot of the team Groce had in 2010 that beat Georgetown in the tournament. It wasn't the most complete team but had the ability to lock teams down defensively with backs against the wall. Getting it done at EMU tells me this team can win on the road against Toledo and Akron and contend for a high MAC seed with real potential of winning Cleveland.

Here's a thought - perhaps we saw the Bean many thought we'd see in the last 5 minutes of this game. Taylor had fouled out so Bean played without having to worry if he was going to get jerked. From my perch 6 rows up, that is something I think i've seen all year.
