Essentially "What if Abreu came back?" And I didn't have to scroll far to find people who would be OK with him returning.  Really?  After all that they would welcome him back?  Winning apparently is all that matters to some people.  Welcoming back a felon to play ball seems really outrageous to me.

It's Akron. I'm not surprised.

No kidding, it's bizarre enough they welcomed Diggs back after 1 season, with Abreu it hasn't even been a cumulative season yet.

I was trying to remember why Diggs was forced to take a year off and stumbled across this article:

http://www.ohio.com/sports/zips/marla-ridenour-ua-s-quinc...

I'm sure this was probably in the newsfeed last month on the front page or even commented about, but I definitely missed the story.  It doesn't change how I feel about Akron, any member of the Hipsher family (coach, player(s), mother, grandmother, dog), etc.

One of my least favorite Akron memories was witnessing the Andy Hipsher crotch grab circa 01 or 02 after a game wining shot I believe.  A few of us Ozoners who were on the floor stepped further onto the court which was not well received by OUPD.  Does anyone else have any memories of the "Hipsher Crotch Grab" incident?

Ah, this is why Akron fans accuse us of being obsessed with them.
