Our AD spent some time at UC a while back and recently negotiated some football dates with them. They would probably have an interest in JS.

I think that this is kind of like a TOS situation.  In his case a job would have to be east of Ohio.  In Jim's case I think a job would have to be either closer to Morgantown or in Morgantown.

Yes and no.  Cincinnati could very well be considered a step up and his family's roots are in central Ohio.  His father's obituary is an interesting read.  He was a pretty big deal in basketball circles in the last century.

I think he was one of the unsung Giants. That man coached a saw a lot of hoops and players. Very humble and quiet given where the game took him.

I am not sure that is a very good fanbase to be in front of right now and not too sure administration is very forgiving either. Not saying it is not attractive but it is a thankless, high pressure job to step into amidst conference musical chairs right now.

Since the Huggins debacle the UC B-ball fan base has been about half what it was.  They are #15 now and have a real tradition though.  And, Cronin is becoming more accepted as memories of Huggins fade.  Football is looking to continue it's improvement and lead the athletics move to a BIG5 conference, especailly with the Nippert expansion.

UC has rolled the dice and is spending big to be a BIG BOY.  They would want a top notch AD which I think we all feel JS is.  So, I'd be worried if they come after him because there is no comparison in resources and commitment to the big time.  Question is will someone pick them up??
