It might actually be an intra-university record.  Look up the 1961-62 Bobcats.  The first team in my lifetime to be called the Cardiac Cats.  So, we may be looking to best our own all-time record, which must have been the NCAA record at the time, though I don't think they kept stats on that kind of thing in those days.
