Bummer. Had a bad feeling when I saw him in street clothes yesterday afternoon.

Wow. Ugh.

Maybe we finally see Christian try a big lineup with Ndour, Smith and Campbell/Setty all in at once. If that happens, Wadly probably sees time. At this point, I don't want us to burn Harley or Wingfield's redshirts.

More likely I guess we would go with Kellogg and Wilkins out there together. Toledo is probably a team we can best manage that against defensively.

Not that big of a loss based on his play as of late

On the pre-game show, Christian said he could be back Saturday if he does what he's supposed to do. Said it was a "Jim Christian" suspension.

This may be a little harsh, but I found myself thinking that too.  But as inconsistent as he is, he has the capability of going off.

It'll be interesting how this impacts depth.

I was thinking that Wilkins might have played himself into a starting spot/Hall might have played himself out of it after the Miami game but not having him at all is a big hit.

I see opportunity here. More confidence communicated to Wilkins  (paid off tonight) - and message to TJ that he is needed in a critical "role" - might be just what was needed..............

He was selfish. Whatever he did, it hurt the team. Even though he has struggled recently, he would have been nice to have on the floor tonight. His size was needed on defense. At the end of the game, he would've been on the floor with Stevie hurt and Mo and Travis fouled out.

I'm glad JC chose short term pain for the team to honor the rules he set for his team. I'd rather see the Cats lose than find out the rules were bent or ignored to try to win.

Christian says it wasn't grades. Hall must have been skipping classes.

Very disappointing a senior isn't showing more leadership. Each game is more important than the previous one, Ric's down, guys are banged up and we can't afford anyone to let go of the rope.

Is it just me or does T.J. need Ricardo more than anyone right now? It seems like they play well when they're both out there. And T.J. hasn't really been the same since Ric went down with the injury.

Anyone else still having random dreams about forgetting to show up for a class the entire quarter then realizing during finals week that you are failing?

Or about accepting a package at a friend's house and getting busted as a drug dealer?

Oh, wait, that only happens to Akron kids.

AHhhhhh I think that is a stretch IMHO>

I think you can search threads and find that TJ was just as inconsistent over his entire career.............You can probably just stick to this year but also go back further for verification.

Yes, I still have that dream.   And, then there's an alternate version where I'm teaching the class rather than a student and I forget to show up until the last week and then I do lectures in my pajamas and hope that I'm not going to be fired and that the chairman of the department won't notice my prior absences and/or the students won't turn me in.  By the time I wake up I usually have this uneasy feeling that all of this really happened.  It usually takes a little while for me to separate the dream from reality.

Yep.... and it's always winter quarter, and I'm missing the class because it cuts into my nap time.

Someone mentioned Rico earlier about T.J. needing him. Yes he needs him. This whole team needs him. Everyone wants to point to Bean's inability to run the offense or Mo's lack of touches or Travis' lack of defense. I point to the lack of leadership and Ric was on his way to being an OUTSTANDING ON COURT LEADER. By now he'd be averaging 10 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg, 2 spg. His attitude on the court was AMAZING. We lose four great seniors who just knew winning...and we were fine. I would say the loss of Ric is the biggest of the five losses since last year. We don't lose to BG or Kron...we probably lose to Western and Toledo but that's only two losses. I MISS RIC!
