Who's in for the trip? I am in +1. I don't remember there being much around the campus in the way of food and drink besides chains, but I'd love to go somewhere for pregame eats.

I'm considering the trip as a possibility but I don't want to drive it by myself.  Plus (this is for you Fake Jeff) you have to consider the weather in that lake effect country.

I live in Buffalo so I'll definitely be there if anyone wants to meet up beforehand. There's nothing really on campus but there's some good places within five minutes.

I'd recommend the original Duffs for any of you that have yet to have it. They're one of the big Chicken Wing joints in Buffalo.

If you're willing to drive 5-10 minutes away, there's a ton of chain restaurants on Niagara Falls Boulevard and Maple Road.

A few Buffalo Chains that are good: Tully's (Sports Bar/Restaurant), Ted's (Hot Dogs), Anderson's (Food/Ice Cream), Duff's, and there's some bars.

Any questions, let me know

Some milling around Yelp led me to Shenannigans and Brick House Tavern in Amherst. Would you endorse any of those?

I honestly haven't gone to either before but have heard good things about the Brick House Tavern. I live about 20 mins away from UB so most of the places I know near campus are a town over.

the 2 I have visited are

www.alternativebrews.com/

www.amherstpizzaandalehouse.com/

I liked the wings at the second one.......both had very good servers that will help sort out the beer choices.

I think I'll go with Amherst Pizza and Alehouse. Looking to get there between 12:30 and 1:00.
