I want a solid, defense driven, beat-down of these guys.... No "Jolly good game lads, we were fortunate to prevail" showing.... I want revenge. That is all.

2005 had the same feeling. Every game was really important. It's no coincidence that is by far the most fun season I've had as an Ohio fan.

It has been a really fun season.  The last time the league was this good was 2005.   Finally starting to recover from the series of really bad hires.

Earlier this week it was mentioned Kellogg was not practicing due to a death in the family. Some Vegas books just reported on twitter that he is questionable for tonight.
I think the "questionable" tag may just be an auto-tag because he missed practice. I haven't seen anything else to indicate he won't play tonight.

Obviously he will have some other stuff on his mind if he does play. Thoughts & prayers to him and the entire Kellogg family.

There's a lot more parity between the East and West this season.  Three or four years ago the East was dominant, winning 75% or more of the games, and the West champ would only be a 3rd or 4th place team in the East.  This year the East is 27-19 vs the West with two games left, and two of the three teams with the best MAC records are in the West.  It makes things a lot more interesting.

And most of the disparity is Ball State and Central.  I also believe both those programs are in good hands so the MAC is clearly on the rise.

Stevie and TJ availability?

Per Arkley...

Ohio’s latest adversity is injury related. Point guard Stevie Taylor will try to play today, despite a calf bruise, but isn’t likely to start. Small forward T.J. Hall is also likely to see time, but could be limited with a hamstring/achilles injury that held him back on Saturday.

Edit: Also saw somewhere that Western hasn't won in Athens in 14 years. (1/22/2000)

Let's hope that Christian has come up with a way to limit Connar Tava from driving at will.

We need an alum to step forward and have a pizza delivered to the WMU bench during the game.  Time for a repeat performance, Mr. McKinley?

Alright team, just let them take a ten point lead in the second half and everything will work out fine

Ugh, Jon Smith not starting (violated team rule) and Stevie Taylor not playing.  T.J. and Nick are a go however.

I lost video with 12:54 left in the first half. Permanently paused on the Ohio Portal and then I tried switching over to the MAC Streaming site with no luck at all. Might be a streaming audio only night for me!

Welp, looks like we spotted the opposition the 10 point lead pretty early tonight... Glad that part of the "winning strategy" is out of the way.

No effort, no caring, just an embarrassing effort tonight.  Should have just saved WMU the trip and told them you were not inteersted in showing up in front of your home fans and competing.

GO OHIO

Apparently, OHIO didn't get your message. And now we lose home games on a regular basis? Injuries..suspensions..and Christian couldn't get them to realize Western Michigan is the real deal. Bad combination. Horrible effort.

I feel like the wheels could come off quicker than we get better. I hope I'm wrong and we rebound with a huge win at Akron but it feels bad right now. Jon and T.J. suspended, Stevie hurt and T.J. hurt. Just feels like we're going to limp into the CIT.

We've been curb stomped in our two games with WMU....losing by 26 combined points.

I was looking at tonight's game as a breakout where we stormed out to a double-digit lead and led wire to wire.

After tonight I just don't feel like our team has such a performance in them.

If we wet the bed in the Rubber City it's going to be a tough road for making a run in Cleveland.

Stop the crying.  Akron isn't exactly sailing in calm waters.  Kretzer injured tonight (no word on whether he can play on Saturday), Harney still on suspension and McAdams has mono and out at least another two weeks. Both teams limping towards Cleveland.  Toledo and WMU in control at this point and have earned the position they occupy. Can either Akron or OU get to the MCC finals if they don't get the double bye?

It'd be hard. That conference no longer exists.
