Don’t let Sam Towns look good. Everyone will need to pray on this.

Towns never got off the bench last game. They went with a 7 man rotation and it came back to bite them. A 14 point first half lead turned into a 16 point loss.

I'm not surprised they got destroyed in the second half. Playing Trey Thomas for 39 minutes? He's a pure 3-point shooter. He doesn't play much defense even when he's not gassed. Our guards should drive on him or post him up every chance they get.

I could be wrong but I thought I saw Sam in street clothes on the bench vs CrAkron

Towns has been injured the last few weeks.

He played 38 minutes in the game before being injured.

He's averaging 7 / 6 this season.

We could be ranked and I'd fully expect a loss at BGStdU. That place is a house of horrors. Let alone this year when we aren't very good.

I expect a double digit loss.

I think you might be right, we don’t have anyone that can match up to Hill or their seven footer.

Sure, anything may happen playing up there. However, looking at OHIO stats vs theirs give them the better defense on scoring average and commit far fewer fouls and slightly lead in total rebounds per game.

But OHIO has more steals, better field goal percentage, better three point shooting percentage, less turnovers, more offensive rebounds per game. (Ohio top 30 in TO per contest so far this season!!!)

I am thinking another close game, no more than 6 points unless it becomes a late free throw shooting affair. James and Mitchell will score more Tuesday to cover what Clayton and Hunter and Sheldon likely not getting what they did Saturday. Hoping the shooting funk ended vs NIU.

All of this. I think the Cats only have a handful of wins up there this entire century?

We haven't won there since 2016-17 and even that feels like an anamoly - a 24 point route just weeks after we lost Tony Campbell for the season. That was also Saul Phillips' only win up there.

Jim Christian was 2-0 there and John Groce was Ofer.

By my count we're 5-17 since 2000. Ouchies.

Bowling Green had a ton of guys injured/suspended for that 2017 game. It shouldn't even count. I think they started a football player. Ellis Dozier had his only career dunk that day. That should tell you something.

I wish we had Ellis Dozier this year. And Wadly. And Foster. And Springs--I could keep going--and Jacobs--and anyone who isn't taking a seat on the bench in street clothes every game.

I often go to BG games because the town is fun and it's a pretty easy drive, but I can't bring myself to do it this year. I thought I'd have at least a pang or two of regret giving up my season tickets but between the changing landscape of college athletics and this team falling firmly into mediocrity in a sub-par conference, I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Going to the Davidson game was enough suffering for the whole season.

I'll see them in the tournament if they make it to Cleveland but that would frankly surprise me.

At least losing on the tundra of Northwest Ohio is one thing that will harken back to better times for this program.

It's funny you say that about their seven footer considering he came from Australia to SOUTHERN UTAH and we have a 6'11'' transfer from the ACC. Recruiting is weird.

Dozier wasn't even good enough to get playing time at tiny Claflin College in South Carolina where he transferred to. (NAIA?)

He averaged 0.6 ppg and 0.3 rebounds per game at Ohio. He might as well have been sitting on the bench in street clothes. He makes Colin Granger look like an NBA lottery pick.

Hill is from South Union or somewhere too.

These are the kinda guys I wish we would take a chance on.

- Led the NJCAA in points scored. (26ppg)
- Scored double-digit points in every game.
- Had nine games with at least 30 points.

I'm happy to take a chance on someone like Ike, but when someone like IJ is sitting on a free scholarship...

Take out that win and it's been damn near a decade since Ohio has won in Bowling Green.

HaHa , thats funny "bookies" i'll bet the farm on that spread tomorrow. normally I would like to attend a game like this @BG after the holidays. However, (after almost 45 years of going to games) I just don't know how to approach feeling good about this season. Its really unfortunate. I try to be optimistic
