I’ve seen enough to know that AJB isn’t healthy enough to give solid minutes or he has zero confidence. Either way…time for a change…start Aidan Hadaway #CaptainChaos. Sit AJB until he’s 100% healthy or bring him off the bench. In two straight games AJB has launched wide open jumpers off the side backboard. Something ain’t right.

Part of me thinks he wants to play through his injury which is very admireable but he needs to sit and heal up. I don’t think my guy Hadaway is the most perfect but he showed drive and passion tonight I didn’t see among the others. He just scraps and scraps and fights - he is a bit immature but he’s been putting together solid minutes the past few games to deserve a start. I say we should, but I’m not a coach for a reason. Will be interesting to see who sits when Miles returns.

Yes, I agree and have been thinking so for about three games now. At the very least he needs to be sixth man off the bench and someone else starting for A.J. Brown. I trust him more than I trust Wiznitzer for anything other than rebounding, as well.

I have no idea why Miles Brown played the entire final five minutes over Captain Chaos. I mean Miles was brutal tonight against AP. I know he’s just getting back from injury, but what was Boals seeing tonight in Miles that we did not?

Considering in the grand scheme the results of tonights game were basically meaningless (non-conference for a non-at-large team). My guess is exactly your last sentence. Boals wanting to get Miles legs back and log some minutes to try and get back into some flow and grow confidence before conference games.

Second game in a row Boals sits Captain Chaos with under 7 minutes to go in crunch time. Took him out at the 6:07 mark. Brought him back at 3:40 mark. The Whiz comes in and misses two free throws. Why take Captain Chaos out at that moment? Don’t get it.

Looks like one of the few bright spots to come out of this season is that Chaos is not a swing and miss. Going to be difficult moving him out of the starting lineup moving forward.

The development of Captain Chaos this season is big moving forward. I don’t see why he can’t be a 10 and 5 guy next year. Especially if he can learn some touch inside 10 feet. Chaos is not a swing and miss for Boals. Keep it up Chaos.

+1. Neither is Sheldon. Really impressive class with EJ4 and AJB. Hope we can keep them all together. We just need more impact from our portal adds.

Love his game.

Love his attitude.

Love his gaining confidence.

Love his aggressiveness.

To quote John Legend, give him the green light baby.

I am not convinced he is a 3 point shooter and worry his 3 for 3 performance may invite a few 0 for 5 performances coming up.

Having said that, I love his game and yes it is improving greatly. Strong and versatile player.

On that note, I think we would be better served if the entire team didn't think they needed to each get off atleast 4 three pointers per game.

In the NBA, the league average for 3P% is 36.5%. Not sure where it is in the NCAA, though know that as recently as 2021 is was below 34%. Hadaway is at 36.7% -- so pretty solid on 30 attemps. Only Brown, Clayton, and Sheldon are better.

Sure, but was 29% going in and 15% last year. I will be thrilled if he sticks around 36-38 from 3, I'm just saying I am not convinced he will.

Yep, totally get it. Sample size issues, for sure. But sadly on our roster 36% basically means you need the greenlight, because most of our wings/guards are south of 30%.

Imagine where we’d be this season without the development of Captain Chaos? He leaves it all on the floor every game. Stat line against Ball State was a thing of beauty, but what he does that doesn’t show up on a stat sheet is more impressive.

What a leap from freshman season to sophomore season. Well done Captain Chaos.

+1 to this. Guy just scraps and scraps and has become a huge part of the lineup.

It's official - Captain Chaos poster will be made for Kent game. Calling it right now. Get me a #10 jersey. #CaptainChaos all the way

That stat line includes 3 blocked shots. Even more impressive, two of those block were on Ball St. 3-point attempts. Have to imagine that's a very rare occurrence.

Haha yessir. One note about Hadaway -

Me and a group within the O-Zone try to get to games at doors open because Hadaway always comes over to us to greet us and converse for a few minutes. Really great guy. #ManOfThePeople

Estis / Corna / Sheldon / Jaylin / Miles have also greeted us each game and always thank us for the support.

Always try to say hello whenever we cross paths on West Green during my morning treks to Stocker Center.

Sheldon I also run into usually in Baker before my noon class. Super nice as well.

Awesome to see the leaps they've both made during their second years.

Now crossing fingers we get an 100% Elmore and AJB next year.

Ohio is at 35.5% for the season, which is 99th of 351 Division I teams. Middle of the pack is right around 34%. He's shooting it well enough to take a few per game.
