Just a crazy thought: If AJ Brown and his brother, 6-4 sophomore-to-be Isaiah, wanted to transfer to Ohio as a tandem, would you take them? Just askin'.

Isaiah: Yes

AJ: No

Seriously...what did AJ do in a Bobcat uniform that was memorable minus his great MAC tourney game as a freshman against Ball State??? He was always hurt and whenever he was somewhat healthy...he was never consistent. Do you remember him as a guy who played great defense, could make a great assist or rebound? I remember him for catching and shooting corner 3's. That's it.

My man, I think you gotta take a deep breath. Nobody is happy with the state of the program, but we don't need to burn everybody associated with the program at the stake.

Absolutely. AJ, when healthy, is an above-average MAC player. Isaiah appears to be better, not injury prone, and has an extra year left.

Based on advanced metrics - AJ would have been our best returning player this season. He was either 1st or 2nd best last year with Clayton.

Long and athletic wings who can shoot don't grow on trees. Think we could have used a 6'4 guy on the boards, and on D, and a high 30 to low 40 3pt shooter this year....say in place of...I dunno....Ajay Sheldon?

You say yes before he finishes the sentence.

AJ Brown would not have played during the 2025/2026 season to save us from Sheldon.

He redshirted.

Ask yourself this.

Would you rather have a healthy Simmons or a player we could never trust because of injuries?

As bad as this team was, imagine if Brown returned for a 2025-2026 redshirt season and the possibility of not having Simmons on the roster? We might have finished with five wins.

Yes, I know AJ Brown doesn’t suck, but I never thought he was a slam dunk first-team all-MAC player when healthy. I think a lot of people here think he was an automatic first-team All-MAC player if he came back for another year. I’m not buying it.

I'd let both of them live in my house.

But that ship has long sailed. They're back home. They're together. Isaiah already has a National Championship ring. They have a punchers chance at another. Neither are NBA prospects, though they both have decent size so maybe summer league invites or g league is plausible. Europe will be there if they want it. I don't think there is a single percent they would consider it.
