God I am so tired of watching our starting shooting guard play absolutely horrible defense, be irrelevant on offense and get rewarded 30+ minutes of playing time.

Jalen Breath with some really good minutes in that first half. Was worried when Simmons picked up his 2nd we'd be down by 10 at halftime.

For quite possibly the last time, I have to ask: why is Sheldon on the floor for more minutes of all players not named Paveletzke? Yes, a nice hustle block on KSU breakaway, but I counted no less than 5 times where his man beat him off the dribble, putting Sheldon in position where he had to trail the dribble penetration. Not to mention our "shooting" guard missing his only 2 looks from 3.

Ohio got a great stretch of 6 straight minutes (10 overall) from Breath. Perhaps his best minutes since November. Now we need someone to step up to supplement OUr big three of Simmons, Pav and Hadaway. Is Hadaway playing with a chip on his shoulder after being omitted from the all-MAC recognitions?

32 games into the season? Shouldn't that have been done all along?

Besides E.E. this is not injury related. It's a recruiting issue. We have no quality depth. If St. Bonaventure hypothetically wants Boals, let him go and wish him well.

Hadaway 20 piece.
Simmons 10.

The other 3 starters: 3

Luckily, it’s tight. If Jack can get going…

And his first shot of the 2nd half is a step back, off the dribble, fadeaway three that bricked off the rim. He has probably never made that shot in serious competition. You've got to be kidding me.

Kent is so much longer & more athletic than us. Our guards can’t do anything against them and Kent is getting whatever they want on offense.

Boals refusing to call a TO after Kent State went up 8 points and the offense was completely out of sync. How do you not regroup there?

Must be nice to be able to run your guards at Hadaway and Simmons (who have combined for 37 of 45 points) for the double team, knowing that the other players on the floor won't make you pay.

So we are six mins into the second half and Jackson Paveletzke, our LEADING SCORER who is coming off a 37 point game HAS NOT TAKEN A SHOT! Hadaway and Simmons backing down into double teams. Kelly is a waste and Sheldon looks like a first-time freshman. Kuany benched. Conners benched. No Bucket. Boals looks lost. This team ruins my vibe every time.

I can’t figure out Boals’ substitution pattern. Can you?

One of our players over the past several weeks has evolved offensively into somewhat of a “point wing” whose main role appears to be facilitating passing the ball around the perimeter.

And one of our players may lead the nation in technical fouls. I had some hope early in this game, but then reality set in. We are one crummy basketball team.

The wheels came off almost literally exactly when Reghi said on the broadcast that this would go down to the final possession. Welp.

JJ Kelly has been relegated to a dunker or a passer. Nothing else. And good riddance Hadaway. Enjoy retirement as the most unlikeable Bobcat I have known since becoming a Bobcat in 1994. Dude is a stain.

Unless there's a miracle, the last thing Hadaway did in an Ohio uniform is foul out on a tech.

Medley scores to put Kent up 71-56 and announcer mentions how he knows when and where to pick his spots. In other words, when Sheldon is guarding him?

He had a fantastic first half and could have left us with a positive memory. Instead he acts like the entitled clown he is. What a whack punk. Good riddance.

LOL. The shot clock was at 1. Do you want him to pass to someone?

Was trying to think of a sarcastic retort to this, but that's not even close to the shot I'm talking about. His first shot happened several possessions and minutes earlier.

You can tell Simmons really wants this. Great focused intensity. Not over yet--getting Hadaway out of there may have been a blessing in disguise.
