Biggest Ohio game that means absolutely nothing in the standings in a long time? To me it means more than a win in Cleveland.

Kitchen sink game. Forget all the crap this season has been and play for something bigger: pure hatred of their smug piggy faces and modicum of pride.

No negativity from me through Friday. Just win the game.

Miami, one win away from a perfect regular season, will bring a significant number of fans Friday night. At the same time, Ohio students will be off campus for the start of spring break.

While the Miami crowd will not outnumber the Ohio crowd, I can see it ending up where the percentage in attendance rooting for the Green and White is the smallest its been since I've been a Bobcat fan.

Kentucky had a significant percentage too back in the late 90’s.

Don't see Ohio winning this with Miami refusing to lose and Ohio refusing to play defense.

I definitely can see us beating Miami and then losing by double-digits in the first round in Cleveland.

Athletics Department, if you are reading this...PLEASE enforce who goes into the student section. Stomaching the random old guys, families and so on is one thing but if I see any red in the hallowed grounds of the Ozone that my wife and I called home for 4 years, I will be pissed.

Don't disagree, Ruck. But who's going to sit there? Hoping the 110 sticks around before starting spring break. That'll be a start. But I don't expect too many students to be in the house.

If you get the right security guy posted there, it will happen. One of the earlier hone games we went to, we watched this security guy single-handedly kick about 30 students out of "his" lower bowl section.

As far as this game goes, it honestly feels like a game we either get destroyed in or we win. Miami has had close games with worse teams than Ohio.

If I’m interpreting Miami Hawk Talk correctly, it is the 47th thread from the top before Ohio appears in a thread title and that had to do with the switch to ESPN2 nine days ago.

Anybody got a connection to Bruce Pearl? Maybe we can get him to sit there. Hes our biggest fan on Friday.

Just literally block the red shirts and dont block others. We have that right. I'll volunteer to do it if someone gets me one of those nifty yellow windbreakers.

Is it possible that Miami, during an historic season both within the league and nationally, doesn't have the MAC POY on its roster? The Redhawks' success draws upon balance production with 7 players averaging double figures in scoring with no player scorer 15 or more per game and no one grabbing 6 or more rebounds a game. I guess Suder, with averages of 14.8 pts, 4.8 reb., and 3.9 assists is the leading candidate. But is he having a better season that Tavari Johnson at Akron or Rico Gillespie at Kent?

Johnson has been great. I really like what Gillespie brings though. Either one would be awesome. Suder is the man but Miami is a true team. What I am interested in is how the All-MAC teams will be. Can Pavs even sniff First Team? Does Craptain Crappos or JavFlex Simmons have a chance at Third Team? With Gillespie, Suder and Johnson surely getting First Team that leaves two spots and I think Campbell, Freitag and Sonny Wilson have all made their case. Coach of the Year has to go to Steele. JJ should be a shoe-in for All-Freshman team.

Freitag has the numbers but he's missed multiple games down the stretch that, I think, will cost him first-team honors.

Students or not, it looks like we are going to get into the steep seats. Reserved seats in sections 201-205 are almost gone. The rest of the Convo is general admission and no idea how those sales are going but they are cheaper than 201-205.

Young lady in the athletic department told me today that they're expecting the biggest crowd of the season tomorrow night. Then again, that's not saying much in 2026. Again, the MAC is not doing itself any favors scheduling rivalry games like Ohio v. Miami when students are not on campus. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Looking forward to getting back in the Convo.Tommy said the last time fiami won there ws the triple OT in 2011 when we talked tonite. Probably going to break that streak. Always enjoy trips back to the friendly confines no matter winter, summer any day in the Convo will be a good one.

Leaving right after work to make it down. WIfe is saying many roads in Athens area are flooded but I think we will be fine coming down 35 to Jackson or 70 to 33. Can't think any place either way that will be underwater. Been both ways winter , spring , summer and fall and not had to turn back.

Pregame with friends from Carmel and then anxiously awaiting the doors opening. Anxious to see the pre game rivalry vid this year. Get up! GEtUP!!! GETTTTTUPPPPP!!!

Had the pleasure of recounting Ohio Hoops with Jerome Tillman's wife who introduced herself in INDY last night at a professional function. Small world, I think it was the Ohio Basketball shirt that might have given it away.

That was a great game in 2011, Tommy hit a bunch of threes to keep us in it. DJ hit a big three too in one of the OTs. Back and forth all night, big crowd, painful painful final score. In the tourney we beat Toledo in the Convo but lost by 3 in OT to Balls in the quarters in Cleveland. Go Bobcats.
