If you were here in 78 you would understand.

That was a REAL snow event. Listed as 26 inches but really closer to 3 feet.

Oh, I was there. Just not over at Jeff Hill. Winter quarter ‘78 was my last one.

I was probably at Copeland while many were out “frolicking”. As I recall the classes were pretty sparse. I think I now know one of the reasons. ;)

Our high school bball team still had practice during/immediately after the 1978 storm. Anyone who didn't walk to the gym through 3 feet of snow/ice (parents refused to drive us - or at least mine did) had to run extra post-practice sprints throughout the next week.

BTW, our starting point guard was Keith Dambrot. Unbelievably slow.

Was that uphill both ways? ;-)

Kids these days will never know what its like to hurdle down Jeff at lightning speed on an old mattress only to eat shit on a loose brick.

The elongated twin size vinyl mattresses they had in the dorms in the early 2000s could really fly down the hill with about 6 people on one...

I lived in Lincoln and Johnson Halls on East Green so had great proximity!

I had a good window view from my 3rd floor triple and stairwell window to pull up a chair and watch the carnage :)
