By the way, to give you an idea what ***** dunk is, I said Ndour vs Buffalo is our closest that I've seen in my time. I remember one and only one no-doubter in the last 20 years of following MAC basketball that came from a MAC team.

Are we talking about the importance of the points/situation or the actual quality of the dunk? If the latter, I'm not seeing it. Neither with Ndour's against Buffalo.

It can be a combination of things and subjective. Many of us agree that Devaughn vs Georgetown is the most famous dunk in Ohio basketball history, but if it were a November weeknight game against like Mercer or SEMO it's just a ***. The circumstances of the moment can elevate it. Here's what I see: a 6'2" guard driving the length of the floor, exploding in stride outside the lane, taking contact and a foul from a 6'10" player, and tying the game in the final seconds which they ended up winning. Both Ndour and Sherman were game-winning plays and that is a boost in my mind.

Ndour is still a **** but the closest to a ***** we have, by my ratings.

The best dunk I remember is Preston in 2020, a mid-air rebound and stuffing during a random weeknight conference game. Sometimes the tape isn't as impressive as the moment. When that dunk happened and I was in the Convo, my jaw hit the floor. Watching it back it is still impressive and awesome but doesn't floor me in the same way.

The commentating also affects it. Whoever was doing color with Marty that night ruined the call with creepy nonsensical laughing.

That's why you hire Reghi. He gets a name wrong occasionally but he will treat a great MAC play like it's rookie year Lebron James.

Vs Buffalo

-Hadaway all alone off Burris steal and feed ** https://x.com/OhioMBasketball/status/2010071306926985495?...
-Simmons alley oop in transition *** https://x.com/BobcatShowcase/status/2010145644439122174
-Kelly cut to the rim on a BLOB play ** https://x.com/OhioMBasketball/status/2010086677931340183?...
-Kelly alley oop in transition *** https://x.com/OhioMBasketball/status/2010105771971735836?...
-Simmons two hander off the dribble drive ** https://x.com/OhioMBasketball/status/2010093194474623351?...

I'm a sucker for fast break alley oops. They're an aesthetic. And both of those were during our main run to pull away. The box score called the inbound alley oop to Kelly where got fouled a dunk. It wasn't. Usually every season we have at least one game where we get five dunks against a D1 team. Anything more than that is rare, so I thought we had it going by the box score (I couldn't watch the game in real time).

The 7 minute spurt early in the 2nd half was the most fun chunk of game we've had all season. 28-6 run but with lots of plays like these dunks that make your balls tingle.

How many stars for this put-back dunk by Kent State's Griffith v. Miami from Tuesday night?

https://www.google.com/search?q=kent+state+put+back+dunk+...

About 25 seconds in. Not the best angle (maybe a better one out there).

Griffith was a high flier in high school. The Preston tip slam is a **** because he rarely dunked so the surprise of it factors in.

If there is such a thing as the best rebound of the season, Conners had it there. I couldn't believe he came down with it so cleanly then made a very smart pass.

The EMU dunk was #1 on Sportscenter this morning
And #3 was a jam by UB's Angelo Brizzi v. Miami.

Sandwiched in between the two dunks by MAC players was a touchdown in a flag football game (ugh),
