Stupid Akron is just lying there, wounded, and you are just running toward them with an iron boot. All you have to do is step on them.  What do you do instead? You trip over your own feet and fall and hit your head and lose consciousness.

I was trying to figure out if that was plural, singular, individually, as a group or as a noun in general. I assume the verb is not in play.

Just remember the 'kron are back to full strength. If they handle Kent Fri night and we win at Miami we will have to win back to back in tournament we will face them at full rest and strength. Wow, can we meet that challenge!?

It's a collective noun so the singular applies.  Same as "Fiami sucks."
