So do we just assume the guys can handle BSU without pushing Stevie/Maurice/TJ to play too many minutes so they can rest up?  Have them waiting on the bench in case it gets hairy?

Send Armon Bassett to the locker room. Worked last time.

It was foul trouble with  D.J. (3) & Armon (2) that sent Ohio deep into the bench late in the first half @BallState. Saturday's game  reminded me of that one in terms of feel and fan support - except there was no first half scuffle in Oxford.

The locker room game was @Toledo. As I recall, the Bobcats gutted out a win w/ five scholarship players and two walk-ons.  A couple guys had been left in Athens. We lost the next one @Eastern, but Coach Groce later said that trip helped turn the season around.

I think this team is capable of a 2010 run. Go, Bobcats.

If there's a team that could win five this week, it's this one.  There isn't an ounce of quit in these guys.

It doesn't matter that Ball State went 2-16 in conference play. Or that Ohio beat them by 20 in January.

What matters is tonight. To play again Wednesday, the Bobcats must score more points that Ball State tonight.

Attack the paint and get Majok in foul trouble. Blanket Turner on the perimeter.

Snow on Wednesday doesn't matter tonight. Without urgency, there is no Wednesday.

Leave it to Fake to put things in perspective and add an ounce of sanity to our discussion.

Win...and advance...but I sure hope it's not another home deficit and big rally.  Just take care of business and win by at least what the line is:  13 1/2.

Ball State just may be the best 2-16 team in the MAC.  They find ways to stay close.  If Majok gets in foul trouble, watch out for Thok.  Majok and Thok...quite the pair inside.

Fake's right.  If we get past Ball State, next concern is to deal with the weather to get to Cleveland Wednesday.

Given what's been going on at home, there's no breathing easy for any game.

To have any chance in CLE, must win this one somewhat readily, with no doubt over the last minutes.  We will.

Chance of winning the tourney gotta be mighty small given our injury status.

Who can doubt that Ball is one of the best 2-16 teams ever?

Try to win this without playing Maurice or Stevie more than 8 minutes.

They certainly are the best 2-16 team visiting the Convo tonight.

Not even a game thread or any response talking about the tourney. www.bsufans.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php

Hope Whit gets this thing turned around. Will be interesting to see...hard to imagine going any lower.

Tim Buckley on the bench at IU

Billy Taylor alongside McCaffrey at Iowa.

Ray up at Detroit.

I would like to see Whit make a home here for a few years and get them back to semi competitive.

Looking up the box score, Armon played 43 minutes that game. Must have invented it in my mind. Sorry.

I think Joe had your back there. UT game was the one Holtmann was ordered to escort Armon to the locker room. Tunji was taking the LSAT and some other discipline was going on....

Ball State was a great game....us on the road in Muncie. I think you guys might have brought the Ozone....not sure on that one....but we had a lot of fans here in Muncie...along with full compliments of family Groce and Holtmann.

ballstatesports.com/ViewArticle.dbml  nice look at the Box score for that game.  Start of a great 5 year run here.

We made the trip to Muncie in 2009. Shab has fond memories of fan interaction.

Feeling pretty confident.

Can TJ break out of his offensive slump? Can our shooters keep it rolling? Can our post guys keep producing? N'Dour's status?

If a few of those answers are positive, this will be an easy win to set us up for a battle on Wednesday.
