I hate to say "Root for" because I won't be actively rooting for anyone but I still want to fly the MAC flag into the NCAA's and feel like this is the year when our team wins a few games. I despise Kron so I can't wait to watch them fall. I will be in town to watch the games Friday so I will be PRO WESTERN for the night. I think Western does it the right way so I will be all over the Broncos for the weekend. I wouldn't mind Toledo but I think they're one more transfer away from sanctions :)

I want to see EMU be the first team to win a MAC tourney title and have no fans at the game to celebrate it.

That's awesome! Could you even imagine? I would actually cheer for them against Kron if that were to be the matchup!

It would be an entire arena against five guys. And I'd be rooting so hard for Stan Heath and the guys in green.

Anyone but Akron.

But seriously, I'd say Toledo, because it has the best RPI and might just get on a slightly higher seed line than anyone else. Maybe they have a shot to win an NCAA tourney game.

I'd love to think that Toledo could lose in the finals and still get at-large talk, but it won't. So go Rockets.

WMU or UT. Let the two tops seeds battle it out.

I pull for the team that has the best chance of winning a game or two in the Dance and I think that team is Toledo.

Toledo is my choice. I agree with the anybody but Akron sentiment. They were an embarrassment for the MAC last year, and likely would be again this year. I still cannot figure out how they have managed to consistently beat the Bobcats. I will be there Saturday and hopefully pulling for the Rockets.

Akron's opponent!

And I agree about WMU- they do play the game the right way.

Add me to the "Toledo because they probably have the best shot to win an NCAA game, but above all else, anybody but Akron" group.

And I realized I just said Stan Heath is EMU's head coach. Somehow he replaced Rob Murphy's name in my brain.

I think Toledo and WMU can win multiple games in the dance given the right matchup. I have a feeling Buffalo and EMU would get crushed. No to Akron.

I want to fly the MAC flag, too, and I think it is good for the league that Western division teams are showing more than a pulse in basketball, so I will pull for a Toledo-WMU final.

Amazing but true: If EMU, Western or Toledo reaches the final, they'll be the first West Division team to do so in *8* years.

I'm going to go with Western Michigan. I want to keep Toledo's streak of not making the dance for 30 years going. Also in the NIT they could do some damage with a nice seed. WMU isn't going to do anything in the NCAA tournament so it will make them look like a 1 and done flop. Then Ohio hosts a first round game in the CBI and wins the best of three series for the championship.

Rat's A**.

Actually, I'd like Toledo to lose to anybody but Akron in the championship game.  Their RPI (37) puts them in the running for an at-large spot to the dance. It'd be great for the MAC to have two bids.

In a fair and equal world Toledo should be in with an RPI of 37 as the first 10 seed. They weigh wins against Top 50 teams and bad losses. The MAC is filled with bad losses waiting to happen. Plenty of sub 200 RPI schools. The biggest challenge is getting a MAC school to step up and win the big non-conference games. It happened a lot more back in the 80's and 90's.

Although, not the popular choice I'll be rooting for Akron. My cousin is a deep bench player and would like to see him succeed. They are a slight matchup nightmare for some teams as well.

However I feel the best representative of the MAC is Toledo.

I am rooting for Toledo & WMU to have blowout wins tonight, and then WMU to slip past Toledo in the championship...because that scenario still leaves open the possibility that Toledo could get an at-large.  It would put them 26-6 with a top 40 RPI.  And before everyone freaks out on me, I'm not saying it is probable...But it's possible.

UT or WMU.

Anyone but Akron. I think I was more upset that they won last night than I was Ohio lost.
