I feel bad for TJ battling through injury and all but i swear every time he gets in the game he either turns the ball over, misses a wide open shot, or fouls. Maybe more than one of those things. Obviously his confidence level has to be extremely low because of the slump and the recent injury. I know we don't have many other options now but yikes. Its frustrating.

Past 9 games
FG - 9/48 or 18.75%
3-PT FG - 3/23 or 13.04%

Just hoping we can get some productive minutes out of him for the Akron game, hopefully passing the ball and rebounding, maybe driving to the basket instead of taking 3's.

He's been able to hold his own on defense and rebounding, but yeah, offensively he's been a black hole.

Also, since sitting out the Toledo game he's only 5-11 from the FT line including three of his last nine.  Although he really skyed for a rebound last night, his knees are affecting his shooting motion.  It's tough to see him playing through this.

His touch on layups/drives to the hoop is wayyyy off.

I also do not understand how we get so many traveling/carrying calls when starting our drive to the bucket from the top or wing. It never seems to happen to the opposing team.

I almost cringe now when I see our guys one-on-one at the top of the 3 point arc knowing they are about to drive to the bucket.

Maybe just me.

On a related note. Ricardo Johnson tweeted some very positive things today. Wonder if there's a chance we could get him back. Said something to the effect of I feel good enough to play tonight.

Seemed to me that last night he "got" the message from JC about launching threes, he was not looking for them at all (and Fiami was giving them to him).  I think he only took two when they were daring him to shoot them.  I remember one was wide, wide open and I thought it was a good shot to take.  I don't want him launching them left and right but I still  want him to shoot the wide open ones to keep the defense honest.  I think if he can, finally, hit one then, like Bean, the confidence of seeing the ball go in might do him, and us, wonders.
