For those driving to Cleveland, be careful.  The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Storm Watch for NE Ohio starting tomorrow night into Wednesday. Predictions call for anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of snow together with the possibility of ice and sleet.

GO BOBCATS!

I don't see any reason why this team can't make it to Friday night at least. We can handle Miami and we can definitely handle an Akron team that is more banged up than us. I truly think that Bean is going to love C-Town and guys like Nick, T.J., Stevie and Jon have been there plenty. Tony C is becoming a stud (watch out next year fellas) so I think we can make it to Western. Then, who knows?

I think that our biggest deficit will be a lack of Stevie with bouncyspringy.  With healthy Stevie we are a very dangerous man.  Without him (and haven't his numbers since the injury been small), our lack of depth at guard*, will hurt.

*Substitute "the guard position" for those who enjoy scoring the ball.

You make a good point Monroe.  I've noticed that since Stevie has been out, everyone's numbers have been a little lower.  Bean is turning into a good player, but Stevie is better at distributing the ball and putting his teammates in a position to score.

Bean is coming on in his PG functioning, guys...playing better than he did earlier.  He has become a problem for opposing teams.

With Bean and AC surging and Mo looking stronger, I'm feeling hopeful. Stevie getting peppy would make me confident.

Thanks. I could have sworn that on the radio broadcast last night Russ said that there would be a Bash on Wednesday.

I'm hosting a Bobcat watch party for each game at the Caesars Palace Sportsbook.  This is the toughest year ever to bet the Cats.  They're 13-12 against the spread and 12-11 over/under.  The drink girls might not be Tilted Kilt quality during the day, but I'll suffer through it.  Either way I bet them, I'll have the game on a 10' screen in Las Vegas, so I'm happy with the venue.

Latest weather update as of 8:30 is that rain will transition to freezing rain and then snow by mid-morning, with the heavy snow expected between mid-morning and mid-afternoon.  Depending on which meterologist you trust, we're looking at 6-10 inches, with the most amounts by the lakeshore.  You shouldn't hit too much difficulty until you hit southern Cuyahoga County

Be safe on the roads driving up, everybody.  Go Cats!

I'm watching the roof of the Q go from ice to snow from my office above the arena. An icy mist is falling, working its way to plain old snow. It was 60 degrees and sunny yesterday. We're just getting started with this storm and it's already looking treacherous. Give yourselves plenty of time and be very careful.

Plenty of snow and wind here on the west side, but its just typical Cleveland. We're heading down on the red line train to Tower City then taking the underground tunnel to the Q. If we have time we'll stop at E. 4th St. bars, but may take a pass with the weather being what it is. Beat Miami!

It is close to white out conditions over here in Shaker Heights. We are doing the same as you, catching the Green Line in. Everyone driving be careful and consider just parking at a rapid station if heading downtown.

Sean Gallagher's icon is a picture of the outside of Swanky's.  That itself is worthy of a million threads.

If you were there, you know.

If not, you have a deficit that you need to make up.

It's true.

Very true! Ha Ha! I think Swanky's was (arguably) the most "distinctive" bar in Athens in the 1970's. Enough said.

As for the game, we shot like crap in the first half tonight. Thankfully, we pulled it together in the 2nd half. Solid win against the dreaded "redhawks"! While the blizzard ended any hope of a real crowd, the local alumni turned up in enough numbers to dwarf the meager Miami fan base. A big shout out to the OU band who kept things lively in the absence of an OU student section. They were great. And very funny in their 'treatment" of their Miami counterparts!

Who knows what will happen the rest of this weekend, but I'll take a win over Miami anytime. Great job to all involved!

Stevie Taylor probably the MVP for his two consecutive bangs when we were down by about 5 about half way into the 2nd half.  Stevie looked better than he has in a while, showed the activity that is hallmark for the first time in a while.

Tempted to go up and spend some $ in Cleveland and on the MAC to see the remaining four - but then that would only encourage the MAC to stay w/TWC and the blackouts - so screw 'em................
