RRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOSSSEEEEVVeeeeeeelllllllttttttt!!!! that was a good era for Hoops. I was in Chicago out by the Horizon watching Depaul
Living in Dayton....there were a few prominent posters who related in the past that they lived in Dayton at the time.

Pretty sure Joe Mac was outta there by then.
I was still in Dayton back in '84, Borna. I watched the Sweet 16 game at UD Fieldhouse with friends. The '84 Dayton team was a lot like this one. They squeaked into the tournament. They had great scoring balance. They were perimeter-oriented with Velvet Chapman, Sedric Toney and Damon Goodwin. I think Anthony Grant was on that team, too.
I was in junior high/high school when Donald Smith and Johnny Davis played for UD -- great backcourt combo. It was a fun to watch the Flyers during the 70s as there were rivalries with Notre Dame/Digger Phelps, DePaul/Ray Meyer, UC/Gale Catlett and even Detroit/Dick Vitale.
Our high school coach at Stebbins, Gene Klaus, was a guard and captain on the Flyers team that beat North Carolina in the national semis and fell to UCLA 79-64 in the 1967 title game.
In recent times, they've had some Columbus players that David squared off against -- Chris Johnson of Brookhaven and Jalen Robinson/Westerville South & then Northland.
Ohio is my top team, of course. But I still follow the Flyers a bit.
