From Znidar's story this afternoon...

“The one thing I did with players as the process began to escalate was talk to them individually,’’ he said. “Coaches aren’t often transparent with their players. I let them know that I would be talking to Boston College and that they be quiet about it. I always tell them I’m going to be honest with them and up front with them. I told them because of hard work I was going to have this opportunity.’’

I give him credit for this. In fact, it seems he handled it far better than Groce. We can all remember stories of him not answering phone calls from players and essentially "skipping town" in the night.

Now, I did hear that Christian may have kept Schaus in the dark, which doesn't seem very professional. But honestly, I think he owes more to the players than Schaus.
