Scott Nagy went to Southern Illinois after eight years at Wright State. Clint Sargent, who played under Nagy at South Dakota State and was an assistant at both SDSU and WSU, is the Raiders' new HC.

Does Southern Illinois have a bunch of cash reserves, or is the Missouri Valley intending to expand? On the surface, this seems like a lateral move.

Folks round here thinking Indiana State to Saint Louis is lateral. Couldn't be more wrong.

According to today's Dayton Daily News, his salary increased from $500k to $600k. More importantly, long-time Wright State AD Bob Grant just retired. Bob has done miracles there in spite of the school's financial troubles. Word on the street is that Bob was asked to lower Nagy's salary or fire him but he chose retirement instead.

Wright St is a financial disaster and has been for the last couple presidents. Yet look at their sports programs. Horizon champions in soccer, volleyball, baseball and men's hoops.

Bob Grant worked miracles.

I wouldn't doubt if their best days aren't in the rear view mirror for awhile now that he's gone.
