Being a kid from Dayton and following the Flyers.......and subsequently a Bobcat alumni for life, I can't understand why these two teams don't play each other. Please don't tell me its a financial issue.

I find it difficult to believe that Dayton wouldn’t want to play the Bobcats in Dayton. I’m guessing Ohio probably wants a home and home and Dayton wants no part of that.

I was a little bit surprised UD coach Grant was not a serious candidate for the o$u job.

Bingo.
They won't play Wright St either.
They're too busy complaining that OSU and UC won't schedule them while simultaneously thumbing their noses at the rest of the Ohio schools.

Thats unfortunate. Exposing the Bobcats to the Dayton / Cincinnati area might just draw interest from some high school prospects looking for a college to play basketball.

I recall going to a UD / Miami game that appeared to be quite a rivalry by fan participation.

Yes UD still schedules Xavier occasionally (they hate each other) and they will play a local Miami team as long as they are having a down year and should be an easy UD win (most years recently).
