Dambrot announces his retirement after the tourney. A destination for another MAC coach? I was puzzled when Dambrot took the job, but he exited as a hero, taking the Dukes to the Dance for the first time since the Carter administration.

65 years old fresh off a 7-year $7M contract and a trip to the NCAA tournament after going 6-24 two seasons ago?

Ride off into the sunset, my guy.

I just googled Dambrot. A solid career. Head coach at Tiffin, Ashland, CMU, Akron, Duquesne. 516 wins, 301 losses, .632 winning pct.
