Wiz was definitely a factor in the first half, and curious as to why he didn't play more in the second half. I believe he still had some fouls to give and had caused some "adjustments" to Freemans game. Even the CBS crew acknowledged Wiz was having one his "best" games. (Clayton wasn't making many 3's anyhow.)
Looking forward to this group should Boal's "keep" and "add" to this off season.
Go Kent ...and beat Groce.

My guess is Boals decided to run with the guys who got them there. I understand that line of thinking.

But Wiz >>> Clayton last night for sure. He was rebounding. Banging on Freeman, taking up space. Got a couple put-backs around the bucket which we desperately needed since the outside shots weren't falling.

We needed more Wiz in the second half. Just look at Freeman's first half and second half lines:

1st Half: FG: 2-6, 3PT: 0-0, FT: 2-3, 6 pts, 13 reb, 0 ast, 5 to, 0 stl, 3 blk
2nd Half: FG: 6-8, 3PT: 1-1, FT: 5-7, 18 pts, 8 reb, 1 ast, 0 to, 0 stl, 4 blk

Which just goes to show how much inside help we need next year (not a newsflash I know).

Appreciate ur confirmation. Bigs are important and "banging" on Freeman was missing for sure.

Wiz was amazing in the MAC Tournament. Loved seeing this from him.

The confidence was there. He was a beast in the 1H against Akron. Getting blocks, rebs, points. The stats show two blocks, but I remember three. He was committing aggressive fouls and getting Freeman frustrated.

I am hoping this is something he can build on going into next season.
