And Toledo's enrollment, like Akron's, is about half what it was in 2018. School does not have a strong academic reputation. BGSU's enrollment, by contrast, is higher that it was in 2018.
Damn really? I'm not up on my enrollment numbers game, but HALF? Tuition increases every year so I'm sure they're able to offset some losses, but they must be approaching danger territory.
OU is down from a 17-18 high 23.9K to 20.7K in 2022 (last update), but freshman classes are up, what is most surprising is regional AND "e-campus" is also down.
OU had 7.4K regional students in 2014, just 3.8K in 2022.
Interesting about freshman class:
- FILM had an 825% increase in enrollment.
- Psychology is the 3rd most popular major, after nursing and biological sciences (which is probably pre med stuff)
- Visual Communication, Media Arts & Studies (and Chemistry) had the largest enrollment drops
- Some of the largest increases:
Exercise Phys
Aviation (interesting)
Finance
Marketing
Nursing
and
Theater also had a 50% increase.
