I'd like to believe the school would preserve the Saturday tipoff to accommodate sibs...but something tells me TV is more important.

Thoughts?

If someone in Cutler Hall?Convo offices actually thinks "being on TV" on a Friday night in February is better than 7 to 9 ,000 fans in the Convo on a Saturday afternoon, they probably shouldn't be in those offices.

These are the same offices that chose to have Parents Weekend when the football team was in Boca.

I'm surprised the CBS time slot has not been announced. We're eight days way.

I am waiting in horror. Have plans for 5 that will be completely blown up if they move it. Which is what has happened to at least 1 game every season in recent memory. I have to think they will take BG & CMU both with much better records. Not to mention they already have us the week prior vs Kent.

The official MAC schedule shows Kent State at Buffalo is on CBS Sports on Friday, 2/2. Toledo at Akron also but on ESPN2.

I never understood the term flexed. Why not just call it sticking it to fans who have purchased tickets & made plans in Athens for the day.

I can think of some others and rescheduled comes to mind first. Then there are the ones more in line with what ohiocatfan1 mentioned - priority realignment, money grab, customer disservice, entitled.

I think it's time for us to realize that the MAC is never, ever, ever, ever, ever going to do anything with the fans' best interest in mind. It's all about the money grab and sucking off the teet of the broadcast companies as much as possible before the proverbial milk dries up. And I'm not sure how much say they even have in who gets chosen for the flex schedule, because CBS/ESPN/FOX really don't care if our students are in town hosting siblings for a big crowd either.

The MAC office probably has the ability to negotiate the idea of flex scheduling in contract talks, but I doubt they care that much.

Just happened with the final home game of the season. So much for attending that game.
