I think it's understood that these postings are just for fun right?
+1
I dont understand why some get upset about speculation on a "discussion board." I can't speak for everyone else, but I like "discussing" Ohio Basketball. It is fun. Based on the lack of "fun" some people had this year winning games and playing in a tournament, maybe less posters than I thought enjoy being a fan.
The most exciting thing about next year's roster for me is the rotation options Christian will have. We have the bodies/talent to play some different styles as the coaching staff sees fit based on matchups.
Traditional 5 position rotation
PG: Stevie/Bean/Recruit
SG: Crute/Morillo/Bean?
SF: Wigginton/Harley/Setty?
PF: Ndour/Owens/Setty
C: Campbell/Wadly
We have options in the frontcourt. To me, Wadly is the only "center" on this roster. I listed Campbell there because I think he starts. How you exactly define Ndour and Campbell's positions is tough to say.
I think Wigginton starts. He is the type of player capable of making an impact immediately. I listed Crute as a starter but the SG is my biggest question at this point. Also, I didnt list Owens as a starter but I am a huge fan. He isn't coming here to sit. Offensively his strength right now is mostly in transition but the rest of his offensive game is close... Defensively and on the boards, he will make an impact from Day 1.
I mentioned rotational options... What if we play the 2-3 zone and use a hybrid lineup with 2 guards and 3 forwards...
G: Stevie/Bean
G: Crute/Wigginton
F: Owens/Setty
F: Ndour/Setty
C: Campbell/Wadly
We could sit in that when we get a lead and give teams nightmares with our size/length.
I dont buy that Owens or Ndour are 3's in the traditional sense but in the 2-3 defense, they could absolutely play as our wing defenders...
Pretty sure we played this system some this year with Campbell at Center..
