Probably wouldn't make a difference what is said here on BA; but I gotta ask myself if I was JC or BB, would I ever care about scheduling the Bobcats?
As for JC, never met him on the caravan and only saw him coach, never heard a radio show. But two things jump out to me. He has an excellent taste in women, he married a Bobcat. In two years he brought in N'Dour, Campbell and Wingfield--perhaps a few new faces for this years team as well.
This past season, I'll argue that JC did a stellar job with the thin talent he inherited and the talent be acquired. Big point is that no other MAC east team had to play the two best teams in the MAC twice--how might two different opponents effected the MAC seating in Cleveland? Had OHIO received the by to Cleveland and somehow made it the dance, you guys would still be bitching that Cuse took OHIO down and JC was still winless in the NCAA. He didn't break Riic's leg and he didn't wear out TJ; he didn't take time from Stevie, he didn't red shirt DJ because he wanted to. Several really exciting games this season and a couple of extra games in a third class tournament. Given all that, JC is a winner.
Best wishes to the old and the NEW.
