I feel your pain, Ohio69. I get crushed at home over this issue. My wife spent a few decades in the rarified atmosphere of Ellis Hall and two years of retirement hasn't been enough to clear her mind to the point that I can make statement like you just did without encountering all kinds of push back.
I take it that she doesn't appreciate the suggestion that a good chunk of that 3-4 million could be found by raiding Ellis Hall? I mean, not all that much, really, and certainly not a meaningful amount of salary, but they do spend money heating Ellis in the winters, cooling it in the summers, and giving them the gift of artificial lighting.
