Per Arkley's latest article, it sounds like Saul is thinking that is the case.

http://www.athensohiotoday.com/sports/ohiouniversity/phil...

"Phillips has yet to hire a Director of Basketball Operations, and a graduate assistant, but spent another chunk of his first week on the job getting familar with current and potential future Bobcats. He’s conducted skill sessions with the current roster of players and believes Ohio will not see anyone transfer out of the program."

Obviously that could change at any time but I think this is a good sign.

A friend was in the Convo yesterday and saw N'Dour and a few of the bigs out doing drills. So it seems his transfer rumor was much ado about nothing. Ah, the internet...

I am very super superstitious about these types of posts. I can't hold my breath till August. When you see him back in class at that point.....Seriously, smart kid. If there is anything in the works we would not know anyway. Finishing out the semester in good standing and staying in the gym would be my modus operandi.. Never count chicks.....ever

FWIW...I think all are on board but that is a qualified opinion.....

If I'm reading tea leaves I see that the 2 recruits that are not on board with Phillips (yet) are Owens, a big man that would benefit greatly playing a year down low with NDour, and Morillo-Lajara, NDour's teammate at Monroe. What do those two question marks have in common?

I think you might be trying to over analyze those tea leaves PerimeterPost. I suggest you switch to coffee: no leaves to obsess over

I agree that Tariq would benefit from playing with NDour. I have commented before that I think the two pair perfectly together next year.

But I think it is a reach to say those two are linked to each other closely off the court. As far as we know, they have no previous relationship. Tariq committed to Ohio originally before we had even seen NDour play here... I think they could be great together but I don't think either is a factor with the others decision making.

Now Morillo, absolutely. He played with Ndour last year. Those two are definitely tied together.

But then the analysis will be full of beans.
