In his press conference, Coach mentioned the value of an overseas trip to help bring he and the team together.  I s one currently planned?

The last one we took Groce opted to go to the Carribean instead of Italy where the team wanted to go. I don't know what the timeline is I am thinking we are not due for another year.

Borna,
Could he be counting the Diamond Head Classic in December as the overseas trip?

I don't think so. Most coaches know and use the August dates to team build. I read an article a while back ....dug up the quote. I think ole Saul knows the value of the team building and needs an infusion of it to get this off the ground.

He recruited with the idea of having a talented, experienced roster in place this season. He scheduled an exhibition tour of Italy for last August to provide the team the springboard it needed to build confidence and chemistry entering the pivotal season

Teams are permitted to take a foreign trip once every four years. We should be getting close to that if not this year.

I believe I heard/read somewhere that we have a Canadian trip scheduled for this summer.

The team is going to Montreal, Canada, or least they were before JC left.

The man with the plan. Hope we stick with it ....this team can use the time to rebuild and mesh.

Canada is a lot like a foreign country. This should go well.

Quebec  does kinda feel like a foreign country, especially QC and most parts of Montreal.  Factoid: They call KFC... PFK...they don't even do that in France.

To get to Montreal from North Dakota you fly over the Great Lakes, which are the same as inland seas, so I can see why Phillips would say that.

Rodell Wigginton I believe. There is speculation on the recruiting board that his status is very much up in the air.

We have not had good luck with our Canadian commits recently. (Zach Nagtzaam, Kadeem Green)

Does a trip to the GNP (Great National Park) count as an oversea's trip for NCAA purposes?

If you're allowed to go on a trip to a foreign country every 4-5 years as stated and you burn your trip on Canada, I'd be bummed.  Nothing against Canada, but didn't Phillips take his team to Italy?   Now that's more like it.  I'd guess the fact that the trip costs are probably wildly different play a part in this if true.

Good thing you told us this or I would've seen 'Poulet Frit Kentucky' and mistaked  it for Goulet Fried Kentucky.

And the disappointment of not getting to eat at a Robert Goulet-themed restaurant as well-named as that would devastate me.
