Helluva game by Nick tonight posting a career best 30 points.  He finished, by my math, with 290 career made three's, which will be a tough number to best in the MAC for a few years to come.  I hope he's able to continue on playing overseas after graduation if that's what he wants to do. He was a very good student athlete that represented OUr school well in all his time in Athens.  (I'm happy to say we've had a good number of guys like him in recent years)

Thanks to Nick, and your fellow seniors, and good luck in finishing up those degrees!

Nick is just the best. He'll be successful in whatever he chooses to do.

I know Stevie will play a GREAT 2014-2015 with Nick in mind.

This observation is subjective in nature, especially considering it's coming from a fan like me who just sits on the sidelines and doesn't know Nick personally, but....

I just get the impression Nick maximized every bit of his God-given talent while at Ohio.  That's not saying he can't get any better in the future, but as a fan and former coach I simply appreciate the feeling I get watching someone give it their all.  Nick earned every cent of that Ohio scholarship and will go down as one of my all-time favorites.  The last guy I remember feeling the same way about was Leon Williams.  Both guys, from this perspective, gave us their very best every time they took the court.

Enjoyed watching #15 through my computer screen over the last 4 years, always represented OHIO well on and off the court. His go ahead 3 pointer in the Sweet 16 might be my favorite Bobcats moment of all time. Definitely top 5. Marv Albert with the call "Kellogg......YES! Ohio, by one!". That's a high water mark for sure.

When I saw the score on ESPN, I was instantly saddened because Nick had played his last game. I wish we could have won the tournament for him. Go Nick and Go Bobcats

He may have played his last game, but fittingly for OHIO's and the MAC's all time 3-point leader, his career ended with a 3 at the buzzer

I ran into Nick and Stevie inside Insomnia Cookies on Saturday and both seemed like nice enough guys.  Nick will be missed on the Bobcats.
On a side note, in that setting they both seemed taller than they did on a basketball court

I recently ran into Nick, Stevie, and Ric.  I can say that they are all larger in person.  I'm almost 6'1 and was about eye level with Stevie, looking slightly up at Nick, and looking substantially up at Ric.

30 points and 6 of 10 on 3-pointers in his last game. I wish it could have ended better for Wilkins, Hall, Johnson and even Smith.

You can see Nick's last shot and a bit of his post game presser comments near the end of this WOUB wrap-up -

That's what happens when they're always standing next to guys who are 6-8, 6-9 or 6-10.

Well, I'm 6'6", so I was still taller than them, but still

This may be a completely ridiculous question, but I'm going to ask it anyway: what are the chances they retire Nick's jersey?  No, he's not way up on the all time scoring list, or assists, or steals...but he is the MAC all time leader in made three pointers and arguably the most beloved player in the last 20 years.  It's a thought.  What do you folks think?  No chance?  Slim chance?

I think he deserves it based on his play and leadership. I haven't seen a more improved player and he was a good shooter as a freshman. Be nice to have a Kellogg up in the rafters!

Nick will apparently be on the same team as SP's former star pupil, Taylor Braun.
