They happen so fast, you can miss them if you blink.

Interesting take on how the pot would be divvied among the players.

Funny! I'm very surprised no one is interested in discussing this case. The outcome could radically change college sports.

the problem with discussion is that there is no idea of what is going to happen. Not too many folks have a solid grasp of what the landscape may look like. COnjecturing on this is like talking about what the dark side of Uranus looks like. Not many have an idea.

A couple of mirrors and a flashlight and you can solve that.

It''s more of a philosophical discussion at this point. I've read through the articles on the trial and one thing stands out to me. The top schools really are paying the players, in a way, by providing superior coaches, facilities and amenities. Think Kentucky basketball and Oregon and Alabama football. The big six have already said they would like to give some extra compensation. If that same money was channeled to the players it could be done. I don't think Calipari, Saban and others would receive the same kinds of pay, but maybe they would get more if the market would be allowed to play out for top talent. Now it's a sham and I really believe major change is on the way.

Pay attention, Akron Zips.  They're splitting the pot.

How will this affect Ohio? I think we are committed to trying to match what the big guys will be doing. The trouble is that we don't presently have a good feel for the stipend amounts.

If our football and basketball teams will participate then you are looking at about 125 athletes. Paying out 100.00 per month would be approximately $12,500 per month or roughly $160,000 per year.

I probably missed something but it is intended as a starting point for further discussion.
