Well, this ain't your Charlie Coles' Red Hawks, that's for sure. How about this, 13 games, 9H/4A, and the away game travel consists of a plane ride to Mexico and bus trips to Ft Wayne, IN and Dayton, OH. That's it. Crazy.

Here's the schedule ranked by last year's RPI, avg RPI is 202.7-

43 Dayton

111 (n)Northern Iowa
118 @IPFW
126 (n)Northwestern
162 @Wright State
168 Elon

216 Evansville
241 (n)Virginia Tech
249 UMKC

313 Liberty
337 Longwood
348 Southern Utah

D3 Capital
Exh Edinboro

Its different, is it better?

I was thinking the same thing. We'd probably be pretty happy to have Dayton at home, a neutral shot at a beatable Big Ten team, and a few solid mid-majors to go along with what should be some easy wins. There are too many good reasons to trash Fiami to waste time trying to trash what looks like a perfectly good non-con schedule.

Looks like a schedule put together by a coach that needs to win some games.

If the path to a Riviera Maya roadtrip goes through Dayton-Ft. Wayne, sign me up.

What is "Miami sucks" in Spanish?

This gives me an idea: Someone on this board who is more multilingual than I am should start a thread that people could contribute to with "Miami sucks" in various languages.  If someone does this, I'll ask my third cousins in Iceland for the Icelandic equivalent.  I'll bet with the connections on this board we could get to 100+ languages.  This reminds me of several years ago when the Alumni Office, I think it was, had a CD with (among other things) Alma Ohio in several languages.  My younger sister, who teaches French, was part of the group that did the version in that language.

Miami better not overlook Capital like they did Wilmington last year. Capital has a great coach and usually puts together a pretty good team. I watch a lot of Capital basketball and they should be a very good d3 team again this year. Might be another d3 upset.

That is exactly the reason why they would never play us. The goal should be a preseason tournament and a few series with other good mid major schools nobody wants to play.

The Icelanders usually don't like to introduce foreign words into their language.  For instance, they originally used a complicated word meaning sounds and pictures out the air for TV.  They've now simplified it to Sjónvarp, but they don't like TV.  I just discovered that they've made an exemption for "sucks," which is just used as a native word.  Therefore, in Icelandic Miami University sucks can be translated thusly:

Miami Háskólinn sucks!
