Returning to basketball . . . so do Dale Bandy, Billy Hahn and Larry Hunter.  When it comes to the blame game, we never rest in our efforts to find scapegoats for our present ills.  Once SP takes us to the Final Four, we'll probably give up the blame game . . . for at least 24 hours or so.

Greg Cobb was an OHIO recruit and transferred to Cleveland State and became CSU's all time  leading scorer.  Having never talked to Greg Cobb, I cannot be certain but here is what I recall.  He was homesick for his sweety and when he told his family he was leaving OHIO after his freshman year and sitting out to transfer, his father basically disowned him.  

So love is a strong emotion for some young sharp shooters!

Greg Cobb was a prolific scorer in high school and did transfer to Cleveland State. However, don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. He hurt his leg at some point and hobbled around the rest of his career at CSU. He was not their all time leading scorer, not even close to it. He did the best he could and played, but was a shadow of his former self.

I know this sounded like a done deal, but does anyone know if we have officially released Crute or the latest on this?

Arkley's column about the Bobcats getting Kenny Kaminski mentions that Crute is not enrolled and no longer on the roster.  I think that pretty much tells you all you need to know.
