Per the Twitterverse he is sitting for playing in a Non-NCAA-Sanctioned game over the Summer.

He read in Esquire that hoodies are back this year, replacing the slim cut suit.

According to Saul, Setty also played in that tournament and will miss the game against FGCU because of it.

Thanks for the info, I was confused in the Convo and had no radio for info. I know nothing about the depths of the NCAA rules, but any official looking game has to be NCAA approved? What if you just happen to get together with some people and organize a few games? Seems like quite a gray area.

Would this have become an issue with the NCAA if we didn't self-impose these punishments? Or just probably not, but better safe than sorry?

Bylaw 14.7.2 prohibits participation in unapproved tournaments outside the school. Maryland had a couple players sit out a game for it in 2007 and Kansas had one last year.

And that's from a very cursory Google search.

Saul said both Bean and Treg thought it was NCAA-approved and Bean Tweeted about playing in it, so they had to take action. Saul also said he tried not to mention Bean being out for this game before hand because he didn't want to put any extra pressure on Ryan Taylor.
