We looked good, but against a crappy team. I'll be a believer if we can knock off Akron next week.

When we lose, 20,000 posts. When we win, 20. Reminds me of Judy Collins singing one of my favorite songs.

I think it has more to do with the opponent. NIU is one of the worst teams in the country, but I hear ya.

It's also the weekend. Many of us don't get around here on the weekends.

That was a butt whooping. It's not often we out rebound our opponent by 8.
Holy cow was NIU bad from 3.

Perfection from Hadaway, his development is very exciting. Miles is really settling back into his role from a year ago. Jaylin 0 for 5 from the line is pretty bizarre.

Bobcats now 8-2 after the 1-3 start. Very excited for Tuesday, let's take 'em down!

Remember early season the amount of fouls OHIO was committing? Now, not so many. BUT now, with lower fouls we are getting lots of active hands and the Kent game as well as NIU on the radio it sounded as OUr guys had tipped balls or outright steals every other time down the court!

Keep improving!

Excellent game and just what we needed on the road.

As mentioned, Hadaway was fantastic. Looked good catching and finishing in transition. Our defense feasts on inferior offenses, deflecting passes and creating turnovers. If we aren't draining 3s, that's our key to victory. If we are getting turns and draining 3s, I believe we can win the MAC.

A lot of guys have settled into their roles nicely, see Hadaway, Brown, Reef, and Ike as examples. Sheldon has shown flashes and has room to grow down the stretch, I'd like to see him get a few looks from 3 each game.

This may or may not be a popular opinion, but I'm pretty happy with where this team has gotten at this point in the season. If you had told me they would lose Miles Brown and Elmore James for extended periods of time, AJ Brown for the season, and when Elmore came back he'd be a shell of himself from before the injury, I'd expect this team to be fighting just to make it to Cleveland. And around early January, fighting for Cleveland is exactly where it looked like we were destined to be. I know the conference isn't great this year, and I know we are not beating Toledo/Akron (yet), but it feels like we're pretty dang close. We've reached the point, for me, where I have that "anything can happen" in Cleveland feeling. I did not have that AT ALL a month ago.

For me, I feel like Boals has done a pretty solid job of piecing this season together, given the adversity we have faced.

He won't get a lot of credit, but to lose your best player for the entire year is hard to come back for any team, let alone a MAC squad. And then to have another starter go down and not come back the same.... to still have them in a position to make a move in the tournament, tremendous job.

OU was picked to finish 3rd, we're right there despite the issues.

And shoutout to Tony Barbee, what a job by that guy. Career 36% winning percentage. Lose your best player to Kent State. Picked to finish dead last. To have them at 10-4 in the conference? Enjoy your contract renewal and that COY trophy.

Having been a lurker for so many years, I know where this line of thinking is headed. Who will be the first to say, "The team no one wants to face in Cleveland"?

CMU lost MAC frosh of the year Bass to Kent St. but did not lose their best player to Kent St.

That distinction belongs to Kevin Miller, who has started every game this season for Wake Forest and is averaging 15.5 ppg.

Only adding to Barbee deserving league COY honors.

As I was watching this game and the 2nd half of the season, I reminded myself of the fans who wanted to compare this team to the 5 win team. I just smiled and laughed

Wait until we lose tonight at home to Akron (not forgone but a coin flip at best). There will be at least 1 call for Boals job, or that he should be on the "hot seat" at a minimum. So it goes.

And some “fans” will no go to bed disappointed they can’t complain about it.
