By all means, let's develop a marketing campaign around a kid's ability to get wasted in Athens.
Come on. It wouldn't be hard to promote how incredibly fun Athens is without mentioning alcohol.

I am just curious if you can lay out what that would look like for an inner-city or minority youth. Maybe an evening at Roller Bowl? Oh wait it closed? Ride on the Santa Train? How many of our Big 3 sports are enticed by PawPaw? I mean seriously, you have ideas how to market how fun Athens is, without Court Street, Fest Season, Halloween. People like SBH, have made a good living on this type of thing, maybe you can teach him something?

Thankfully the Bobcats do not have many true road games left after Toledo. They will beat NI and Buffalo. Ohio in most years schedules way more non league games at home than almost all of the conference schools. Evidently there is a reason for that.

I'm not so sure Northern Illinois is an automatic road "W". Hope you are right.

Can this loss be blame on Jeff's temper? It was a four-point turnaround.

There is a reason Ohio schedules very few true road games.

Since 1974, Ohio is 520-168 at home. An average of 13.8 home games per season.
In that same period they're 328-493 away from the Convo. An average of 16.5 road and neutral games per season.

Ah, why do I bother...

It was already Toledo's ball so it cost us only the foul shots.

By my quick count in the last five seasons, Ohio has played 30 home games and 18 true road games non league. This does not include neutral site games. That is a considerable amount of home games compared to true road games. As I mentioned above there is a reason the Bobcats play more games in the Convo.

Going back to the 2012-13 season, Ohio has played 82 non conference home games and 40 true road games. That is better than two thirds of the games played at home. Wondering if the volleyball, soccer, football and womens basketball has this type of schedule? I repeat there is a reason the majority of these games are played at home.

No update after a road win. Is this entire theme one with an agenda? A Nation Awaits?

Akron 25 20 45 0.556
Toledo 34 19 53 0.642
Kent 27 24 51 0.529
OU 20 28 48 0.417
Miami 19 34 53 0.358

Pulled the last four seasons, we're not great on the road, I actually thought most teams would be at or below .500 - but it looks like Toledo is pretty far above it.

Everyone else has generally failed worse than Miami.

MAC is just not a great conference, and road wins are few and far between for most teams.

I'm assuming all of these stats are for all games, not just MAC. With that in mind, all you have to do is look at who we play at home (non-conference) and you'll see why we have so much success at home.
