Let Boldon try to grow this young group. If he still isn't sniffing .500 in a few years, you have to consider making a move. I like everything I have seen from him but things seem to have gotten stale. It feels like we should have been able to springboard from that great team and reload but we've crashed and burned.
+1. I kind of feel like we should have been making the next jump after the MAC Title. But since then, something is rotten in Denmark. Especially since we went for records and not a winning percentage....

So you say same thing for BOALs and Albin? Handed the last coaches kids, has had 10 years and regressed and you say give him a few more years Just want to make sure I’m hearing what you are saying.

I know you struggle with projecting certain opinions unto other people, but I have never done anything even close to suggest Boals or Albin should be fired.

We were poised to win and, I think, win huge. I think an unbelievable number of injuries over the course of several years that was the main culprit. I really don't think anyone else would have done better under the circumstance. Now, he probably doesn't have the same recruiting power that he did when he brought Hooks, Johnson, Burris, and Bambule in one class so he has got some work to do. I think he still has some leeway but eventually Cromer will get impatient if he can't get back on track in the next few years. This team is young. Just being competitive is a pretty decent sign.

I agree, we have already seen some improvement and I'm hopeful they can be somewhat competitive in the MAC. Last year we were 4-14 with Yaya on the team...If we can win 7-9 games it will be good improvement and signs of the right trajectory.

Boldon was randomly the TV Analyst for the Men's game last night. He did a good job and once again always seems like a smart and likable guy. I hope he can bring things back on track with this young core.

Frankly even if you don't believe in him as a coach or even enjoy women's basketball, it's worth the price of admission just to sit near the bench and listen to him during the game. There was a bad non-call that nobody in the sparse holiday crowd audibly reacted to. After he let a curse word fly, he said, "It's not my fault nobody's here!" He had the 300 of us that attended in stitches.

Every coach argues for calls but it sounds different when he does it. He voices his disapproval to bad officiating in such a way that he's more upset that one of his players was harmed than simply being put at a competitive disadvantage. I would think if I was a player, I would want to play for someone who had my back like that.

It was a question, hence this (?) marvel of the English language. Zero projection, just a simple question.

Had a hard time scoring which made the game a lot closer than it should have been, but the aggression and execution on defense was quite good. They were mentally locked in.

I hope Kate Dennis is okay. She got fouled hard and injured while trying to land from a three-point attempt. Not only was no foul called, Boldon had to bawl out the refs because they didn't want to stop the game to let her come out, even after OU got the ball back.

Cassidy Lafler didn't play after wearing the facemask to protect her nose in the Syracuse game.

I was excited about this road game being on YouTube, but the feed is absolutely unwatchable. Butler shows a replay of literally every made Butler basket, and by the time the replay ends, Butler has the ball back again. I get that it's a Butler feed, but apparently they don't want anyone to see their team ever play defense.

It's probably the feed from their scoreboard.

Whatever it's from, it's horrible.

Question for someone who may know? Any idea why the Women's team does not schedule Defiance or UC Clermont type game during the regular season? Instead they play Syracuse, Kentucky, Cincinatti and Ohio State. It appears they could use a game like I described.

IUPUI, Bellarmine, Longwood are not exactly powerhouses.

Defiance is D 3 so maybe the Women's team can line up a school like that.

This team ain't so good right now but they would dismantle Defiance and the like.

Nice win last night over Akron to go 1-0 in MAC play. Tabeling had a nice night off the bench, knocking down some big 3's, and Watkins scored well, also. They fell down to Akron by 7 in the 3rd but fought back with a run and retook the lead. The lead got slowly extended late and culminated in 9-point Ohio win.

Tabeling leads the MAC in three-point percentage on the season; she's made more than she's missed. Great find out of Seymour, Indiana.

I've only made it to two home games so far this year, but she shot the ball very well in both games I attended. I've felt like that deep perimeter threat has been missing the last few seasons, so that's great to see.

Fantroy hasn't played the last two games. She alright?

The freshman trio of Fantroy, Williams, and Tabeling could be great program rebuilding blocks.

Close home loss to NIU. They weathered every run we threw at them. I noticed we had five players not dress, including McClure. Fantroy was back at least.

I thought it was really odd that they didn’t try to extend the game in those last 20 seconds or so. Only down 5, strange things happen. It just surprised me that we threw up the white flag in that situation.

McClure is a huge loss. I think we win this game if we have her. Alper tried to pick up a lot of slack in the scoring, as she played a lot more than usual but went 1/6 three. Tabeling also went 1/6. Bad night for that. The other four who didn't dress aren't a huge loss in-game, as they didn't really have major roles.

Curious on the thought process. On the men’s side scholarship players not playing is a miss. On this side it’s not a loss?
