Serious question on convo seating...am I correct they are going to replace all the seats with plastic? I wonder why they don't just repair those seats that need it? Or, move some of them around? After all, some of those light greeneies have hardly been sat in over the years. I don't get replacing "all" them with plastic? I've been to more than a few games over the years and I haven't sat in a bad seat yet. I just don't see a need to replace them all. Am I missing something here?
I agree Casper, I see no need to replace all the the seats with inferior seats. My is very comfortable. Putting in plastic seats would be a serious downgrade. Let's just fix the ones that need fixing and leave the good ones alone. It can't be more than five percent of the seats that need fixing. I'd take the money saved by not doing this downgrade and put it toward a hanging scoreboard. I will say that I'll be very upset if next year I have to sit in some generic plastic seat without the nice padded cushion I currently enjoy.
How about the fact that the lime green seats are over 40 years old and the UV from the newer lights has degraded the plastic to where many of them have broken to the touch.

There are a LOT of seats in bad shape around the Convo. One of my Platinum seats has been screwed up for years, and no fix after years of complaining. I sat over on the Ozone/upper student side last volleyball game - lotta seats over there in REAL BAD shape. You have to walk around the place a bit, and up and down some aisles.

I'm OK with plastic. IF they also offer a "Premium Seat Pad" promo - I would pony up a few extra $'s for that - IF they also let me store that pad in the Rohr "Closet" - next to a place where I can hang my coat..........

OCF, I am in for protesting this move big time. I still can't understand why we can't lower the roof and reduce the seating a bit (humor intended!).

Yeah count me in the group that says there are bad seats in the upper bowls. The last 2 years I was down for the Dad's Weekend games, the upholstered seats we sat in were in bad shape.
